Senegal recently conducted tree-planting exercise at the border between Senegal
and The Gambia.
The exercise that saw the planning of 2,700 trees was aimed at establishing and strengthening collaboration between the people of The Gambia and Senegal.
Speaking at the event, the Alkalo of Dasilameh village, Musa Tabally Bojang, emphasised the importance of tree-planting exercise, saying without trees human being could not survive.
According to Mr Bojang, he has been planting trees for over 17years from his village to Senegal. The aim, he added, was to bring collaboration between the two countries.
He said the people of the two countries should maintain peace and stability among themselves.
