Darboe in America to meet UDP militants

A reliable source told this media that the secretary general and leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP) was in United States of America to meet with his party militants to brief them about the recent political situation in The Gambia as well as his removal from government together with Amadou Sanneh and Lamin Dibba.

The source further said that Mr. Darboe’s visit to Seattle is aimed at reorganising, strengthening as well seeking financial support and bring more people to prepare for the next presidential elections.

Darboe received a tumultuous welcome from Rohey Malick Lowe, Mayoress of Banjul and several supporters of UDP.
