Imam Momodou Lamin Jabbi Foundation is out to promote Islam and spread the name
Speaking in an interview with the founder, Imam Momodou Lamin Jabbi, told The Point that the reason of coming with the foundation was to help the people, especially in his area of Foni.
Imam Jabbi said the foundation was launched on 23 September 2017, adding that the foundation has more than 1000 members.
He said one of its objectives was to organize Islamic conferences in Foni, adding that the foundation would also look for support from good people and organizations in order to organise Islamic conferences in the country.
“We also have milling machines for the women through the foundation which is another achievement,” he said, adding that a few weeks ago, the foundation distributed over 4000 text books to various schools in Foni.
“We also want to extend our assistance to other villages in the country as well as to help Imams so that they can lead their people when it comes to Islam because Imams in this country are not paid and they also need help,” he added.
He said: “If you are a Muslim leader you should always try to distance yourself from a ruler. Islam preachers should be faithful to God.”
