Kumba Sillah-Camara of the High Court in Banjul yesterday declared that the
High Court will visit the NIA Headquarters in Banjul and NIA annex in Tanji in
the West Coast Region.
Justice Kumba Sillah-Camara ruling was anchored on an application filed by the prosecution for the court to visit the locus (the Banjul headquarters and Tanji annex).
Justice K.S. Camara disclosed that evidences have being led in connection to these places, noting that these sites (locus) were mentioned by several prosecution witnesses during the course of the trial and it is in the interest of justice that the court do same.
The trial judge cited some authorities and sections from the Evidence Act and pointed out that if the prosecution had not applied to visit these sites, the court would have done so.
She therefore disclosed that the court would be visiting these places on the 3rd and 4th July, 2018.
