Court hears case on uttering false document

The alleged uttering false document trial involving one Ebra Faal was recently heard at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Babucarr Secka.

Testifying, the first prosecution witness, Musa Sillah, told the court that he is a businessman residing in Fajara A. Section.

Mr Sillah told the court that he sells building materials and the business is named Muhammed Sillah & Brother Company, situated at Jimpex Road in Kanifing.

He said he knew the accused and also knew a company called Creatco Limited.

He stated that in 2009 the company was introduced to him by one Pa Bojang, adding that in the same year the accused, Ebra Faal, came with some people to his shop to buy rods.

Still testifying, the witness told the court that the accused and some people came to his shop for the second time in the name of Creatco Company to buy some rods.

He said that whenever the accused would buy rods, he would prepare receipt and invoice for him, adding that his company’s invoice would bear Muhammed Sillah & Brother NTC Complex Jimpex.

The witness further adduced that he worked with one Salieu Conteh, adding that there was a time that Salieu once used the invoice of Muhammed Sillah & Brother Company for Creatco Company without his knowledge.

He said he could also remember Creatco pay a cheque for D69, 200 when they came to buy rods.

The case was then adjourned till 5 May 2011.
