Coalition tourney qualifiers to begin in West Coast Region

The coalition football tournament qualifier is set to kick off in West Coast Region on Friday, February 2.

Nine districts are set to compete in the qualifiers and winner of the qualifiers final will represent West Coast Region in the forthcoming Coalition football tournament.

On Friday, Kombo South will host Kombo North at the Farato Football Field while Foni Kansala will play against Foni Bulock at the Bulock Football Field.

Kombo Central will battle it out with Kombo East at the Kuloro Football Field while Foni Bondali will face Foni Jarrol at the Jarrol Football Field on the same day. The qualifiers is organised by the West Coast Regional Sports Committee.

Pa Momodou Faal, 3rd vice president of West Coast Regional Football Association said the organisation of the tournament is geared towards preparing a district team that would represent West Coast Region in the forthcoming coalition football tournament spearheaded by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. He said both finalists would be given jerseys for finals of the qualifiers.

Last year during the minister of youth and sports tour, his Ministry gave D30, 000 to all the regional governor’s to prepare their regions for the forthcoming coalition football tournament.
