Coach Savoy arrives in Banjul for Gambia-Cameroon AFCON qualifiers clash

The head coach of the Gambia National team, Raoul Savoy, has arrived in Banjul for The Gambia’s crucial 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers match with Cameroon in September 2015, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Coach Raoul Savoy, who arrived in Banjul at the weekend, will prepare the Scorpions for their crucial 2017 African Cup Nations qualifiers against the Indomitable Lions on 5 September 2015 in Banjul.

The Gambia commenced their 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers with a goalless draw away to South Africa on 13 June 2015 in Durban and need to beat Cameroon in September to fancy their chances of qualifying for their first-ever African Cup of Nations.

Cameroon made an astonishing start to the 2017 African Cup Nations qualifiers following their 1-0 home win over Mauritania on 14 June 2015, in Younde, and are hoping to gain the upper hand over The Gambia to maintain their hundred percent record in the qualifiers.

Cameroon are currently topping group M of the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers with the maximum 3 points in one game after their slender win over Mauritania in their opening game.

The Gambia and South Africa are second and third spots in group M of the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers with 1 point each in one outing following their goalless draw in their opening qualifiers game on 13 June 2015 in Durban.
