Gambia Chess Federation (GCF) has announced on Friday that it will hold Annual
General Meeting on Saturday 7th September, at the Alliance fanciers along
Kairaba Avenue, starting at 10:00am.
The Federation said in a statement that AGM is a constitutional provision that requires it to convene a stakeholder meeting at the end of each year to discuss amongst others, the budget for the year under review, audited accounts and financial statement and the activity report.
It stated that the agenda for the annual.meeting would be moved and adopted by members before a review of the previous minutes and matters arising to be discussed.
The event would be presided over by the president Amadou Jallow and all executive members of the GCF including representatives from all clubs, and the regional Associations and other relevant chess stakeholders.
Meanwhile, all the clubs are urged to regularise their statues with the Federation on or before the AGM and each club is expected to send two delegates to attend the event.
