Champion Sounds Production to Organise Gamspirit Music Award Gala Dinner

Champion Sounds Entertainment and Production has completed all preparations to organise Gamspirit Music Award Gala Dinner.

The Gala Dinner is going to be held on 25th April 2009 at the Kairaba Beach Hotel.

The aim of organising this event is in the continuous efforts towards the Gambian music and entertainment development to higher level.

President Jammeh is the Chief patronage.

Briefing Enterainment recently, DJ Lamin Cham, CEO of Champion Sounds and Production said this is an event where artists will be awarded for their performances during the year.

He explained that the prestigious accolade is going to be conferred on the awardees in recognition of their sterling contribution to the promotion and development of Gambia's burgeoning music industry.

According to DJ Cham, Youssou Ndour, Titi, Mbye Nderr, Thione Seck are expected to grace this second Gamspirit music award. 

He added that the sponsors are Gamcel, MA Finance, Yaram Artists in UK, One Sweden-based Gambian, GRTS, The Point and Daily Observer newspapers, West Coast, City Limit and Unique FM Paradise radios.

"We are doing all what we can as patriotic Gambian entertainment producers to take the music to higer level," DJ Cham added.

The Champion Sounds boss went on to revealed that this year's life time achievement awards are to be awarded to Mr Ousu Njie Senior, Ndey Nyang Njie, Musa Ngum, George Christinsen, Vexx Gounjiman, Flexx, Tijan Camara, Yerro Jallow GRTS and Jaliba.

The 'best female album of the year', 'best male artist of the year', 'Group of the year' and Entertainment journalists of the year are also catered for.
