Gambia Football Federation on Wednesday announced that the Judge that sat over
their appeal against a Togolese player, James Oloufade Adewale has decided
otherwise even though they had high hopes that justice will prevail.
They said after presenting all necessary documents to prove that they have a strong case against Togo, the Court of Arbitration for Sports saw the case differently.
“Since this is the last legal remedy in sports available at our disposal, we are left with no choice, but to accept the decision,” a release from the GFF stated.
They added that they will not be making any further comment on the matter.
It could be recalled that the GFF in March appealed against the decision of the CAF Appeal Board to dismiss our protest against an earlier decision of the Confederation’s Organising Committee against the said player’s eligibility having played against us in the 1-1 draw of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers in October 2018.
