Burglar to know his fate soon

Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke recently adjourned the criminal case of housebreaking and stealing levelled against one Abdourahaman Jallow for judgement.

The accused pleaded guilty to the charge of housebreaking and stealing when arraigned before the Kanifing Magistrates' Court.

According to the facts as narrated by Inspector Touray, it happened on 26th February 2010, at New Jeshwang, when the accused broke into the house of the complainant, Ramatulie Kanteh and therein stole the following items: one DVD player, valued at D1, 500, one Nokia mobile, valued at D3000, satellite receiver, valued at D2000, three complete set of gold necklaces, valued at D25, 200 and twenty-four bangles, valued at D75, 600, totaling to D91, 100.

He narrated that the matter was later reported to Serekunda Police Station and the accused who admitted to the crime was subsequently arrested.

He said the accused also helped the police to recover some of the items.
