Budget Session Starts Today

The fourth meeting of the National Assembly in the 2008 Legislative Year (Budget Session) commences today 1stDecember 2008, according to a press release issued by the National Assembly.

According to the release, the Secretary of State for Finance and Economic Affairs will lay before the National Assembly the Draft Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure of the Government of The Gambia for the Fiscal Year 1stJanuary to 31stDecember 2009.

After the Estimates are laid by the Secretary of State for Finance and Economic Affairs, the Assembly shall resume on Monday 15thDecember 2008 for members to debate the draft estimates.

The release added that sitting arrangements are available in the public gallery and any person who wishes to attend may do so through the Office of the Clerk.
