Brufut Utd’s WCR 3rd division league title hopes in limbo

Brufut United’s hopes of clinching the 2014-2015 West Coast Regional third division league title is in limbo following their 1-0 defeat to Sifoe Unitedin the week twenty-one fixtures played at the Sifoe football field on Sunday.

Brufut United and Sifoe United share points in the first round after their goalless draw in the first leg tie played at the Brufut football field prior to their Sunday clash.

But the Kombo South-based outfit snatched the vital three points to close the gap and hinder Brufut United’s chances of winning the league title.

Brufut United are leading the league with 38 points - six points ahead of Sifoe United, who were with 32 points prior to their weekend clash, but the South boys snatched the vital three points following their slender win over the Kombo North-based outfit to close the gap to three points with one more game to go.

Busumbala thrashed Foni Berefet United 3-0 at the Busumbala football field, while Nema Youths came from one nil down to draw 1-1 with Gunjur United at the Dembadou Mini Stadium on the same day.

Brufut United are still leading the race with 38 points in twenty-games with one more game to go and Sifoe United are third place with 35 points in twenty-one games.

Gunjur United dropped to fourth place with 30 points following their 1-1 draw with Nema Youths, and Busumbala are fifth with 29 points in twenty-one games, while Foni Berefet United are still rooted at the bottom with 14 points in twenty-games.
