Brother in Court for Damaging Brother's Property

The Brikama Magistrates' Court presided over by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh recently heard a case of willful damage to property brought against one Sulayman Mbowe.

According to the particulars of the offence on or about the 30th April 2009, at Sinchu Alhagie the accused willfully and unlawfully damaged the wind- screen of his brother Ebrima Mbow  valued at D2, 000. He pleaded not guilty.

Meanwhile he was granted court bail in the sum of D5, 000.

In another development, one Mustapha Bah also appeared before the Brikama Magistrates' Court for threatening violence contrary to section 84 of the criminal code.

According to the particulars of offence, on the 28th April 2009, at Yuna village, the accused threatened to kill his mother, Mariama Camara, with an iron bar.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody until the next adjourned day.
