United on Saturday defeated Real De Banjul 1-0 in the week-three fixture played
at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama to salvage their lead in the 2018-2019
Gambia Football Federation GFF domestic division one league.
The Sateyba boys were unbeaten in their two opening league matches before clashing with Real De Banjul, who were also unbeaten in their opening league matches.
The Brikama-based club clinched the significant three points after scoring one goal in the game to secure a slender win over the City boys to extend their lead in the league with 7 points.
Real De Banjul responded back for an equaliser but to no avail thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of Brikama United.
Meanwhile, Samger held Banjul United to a goalless draw at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium while BK Milan thumped PSV Wellingara 2-0 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on the same day.
Samger has gathered 5 points in three league matches and Real De Banjul with 4 points after three league matches.
BK Milan has now claimed 3 points in three league matches after losing their two opening league matches against Samger and Real De Banjul 2-1 and 1-0 respectively.
