Brikama Utd miss chance to close gap on GPA in GFF 1st Division

Brikama United has the missed the chance to close gap on Gambia Ports Authority following their goalless draw with Real De Banjul in the week-twenty fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on Sunday.

Brikama United are five points behind league leaders Gambia Ports Authority before their Sunday’s crunch clash with Real De Banjul but were reluctant to bag the vital three points; instead shared spoils with the city boys.

Gambia Ports Authority missed chance to extend their lead in the league in their goalless draw with defending champs Gamtel played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Saturday.

Serrekunda United drew goalless with Banjul United at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.

Steve Biko thumped Wallidan 2-0 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

Elsewhere, Hawks drew goalless with Gambia Armed Forces at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.

Gambia Ports Authority are leading the race with 41 points in twenty league matches.

Brikama United are second with 37 points in twenty league matches, and Real De Banjul are third with 35 points in twenty league matches.

Hawks are fourth with 26 points in twenty league matches, Gamtel are fifth with 25 points in twenty league matches, Steve Biko are sixth with 24 points in twenty league matches and Gambia Armed Forces are seventh with 22 points in twenty league matches.

Bombada are eighth with 20 points in twenty league matches, Samger are ninth with 19 points in nineteen league matches with a game in hand against Bombada, and Wallidan are tenth with 19 points in twenty league matches.

Serrekunda United are second place from bottom with 17 points in twenty league matches and Banjul United rooted at the bottom with 16 points in twenty league matches.
