Brikama Utd, Gamtel, Wallidan sail to FA Cup Semis

Brikama United, Gamtel FC and Wallidan FC are through to the semi-finals of the 2015 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) FA Cup after winning their quarterfinal ties played at the weekend.

The Sateyba boys beat reigning league champions Real De Banjul 1-0 in the quarterfinal clash played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium to progress to the semifinal.

Striker Sainey Bojang was on target for Brikama United in the first half.

Telecommunication giants Gamtel FC booked their ticket to the semifinals following their penalty shootout win over Hawks, after the regulation time failed to produce a winner in the quarterfinal game played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Wallidan advanced to the semifinal after beating Bakau United in their quarterfinal game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

Second tier side Marimoo will host FA Cup champions Banjul United with second tier in the other quarterfinal to be played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda to be announced by GFF.
