Brikama Utd crushes Bombada to pile pressure on Gamtel

Brikama United has defeated Bombada 2-0 in the all-Brikama derby clash on Monday to pile pressure on current league leaders Gamtel. The game was played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

Brikama United, who beat Bombada in the first round prior to their Monday meeting registered yet another victory over their town rivals to mount pressure on the run away table toppers telecommunications giants.

The victory earned Brikama United 24 points in fourteen league matches and seven points behind current league leaders Gamtel, who has secured 31 points in thirteen league matches.

The defeat left Bombada bottom-place in the top flight league season with only 4 points after fourteen league matches.

Bakau giants Steve Biko poor run of form continued in the top flight following their goalless draw with Banjul United at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Hawks thrashed Marimoo 3-1 in the other week-fourteen fixture played at the same venue. Marimoo, Hawks and Banjul United have all clinched 16 points each after fourteen league matches.

Steve Biko is still struggling second-place from bottom in the top flight with 9 points despite their goalless draw with Banjul United.
