Tuesday, August 06, 2019

The 2018-2019 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) division one league champions Brikama United, Saturday thumped Gambia U-23 national team 2-0 in a warm up match played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium.

The Sateyba boys, who were preparing for the 2019-2020 Confederation of African Football (CAF) champions league tie with Moroccan side Raja Casablanca this Saturday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, slipped to junior Scorpions 1-0 in their previous test games before their weekend fixture.

They secured a resounding victory after netting exceptional two goals without coach Omar Sise and his charges responding.

Gambia U-23 reacted quickly for an equalizer but to no avail thus the match ended 2-0 in favour of Brikama United.
