2-0 defeat to Hawks in the week-eight fixture played at the Independence
Stadium in Bakau on Tuesday continues to expose them as the team without a win
in the 2017-2018 Gambia Football Federation domestic Division One League.
The Brikama-based outfit and Red Devils are both struggling in the top flight league prior to their mid-week fixture.
Hawks snatched the maximum points after achieving two excellent goals to land their first win since the start of the league in November 2017. Bombada responded quickly for an equaliser but to no avail ending the game in a 2-0 in favour of Hawks.
This is Bombada’s fourth defeat in the top flight league so far this season. The Brikama-based football club still remains rock-bottom in the league standings with only 3 points in seven league matches with a game in hand against rivals Brikama United.
Hawks has now bagged 7 points after eight league matches. Brikama United drew 1-1 with Marimoo; Gambia Ports Authority drew goalless with Steve Biko on the same day.
Marimoo has 10 points in eight league matches while Gambia Ports Authority and Brikama United both secured 8 points.
Steve Biko is still struggling in the relegation zone in the top flight with 5 points in eight league matches.
