Bombada slap S/K Utd to relief in GFF 1st domestic league

Bombada on Sunday defeated Serrekunda United 3-2 in the week-eight fixtures played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau to relieve themselves in the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league after their dismal start to the  top flight league campaign.

The Brikama-based football club came into the game with zero point and no goal after losing their opening six league matches. Serrekunda United are two places above relegation zone with 6 points in six league matches prior to 3-2 defeat to Bombada.

Bombada needed only a win against Serrekunda United to improve their hopes of moving away from the red zone.

The Brikama-based outfit managed to notch in three goals in the game to land their first victory in the country’s top flight league after their poor start to the new league season campaign.

Serrekunda United responded back for equaliser but managed to pull back one, which eventually proved to be a consolation for the Serrekunda-based football club.

Bombada are still rock bottom in the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league with 3 points in seven league matches despite their 3-2 win over Serrekunda United at the weekend.

Serrekunda United are now one place above relegation zone with 6 points in seven league matches following their 3-2 defeat to Bombada at the weekend.
