Bombada out muscle Steve Biko to move from red zone in GFF 1st domestic league

Bombada on Sunday demolished Bakau giant killers Steve Biko 5-2 in the week-ten fixtures played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium to move away from relegation in the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league.

Bombada were rock bottom in the top flight with 3 points before Sunday’s resounding win over Bakau giant killers Steve Biko, who are now occupying second-place from bottom in the top flight after losing three games in a row.

Prolific striker Mustapha Drammeh netted a hat-trick for Bombada in the game to move one place above relegation zone in the top flight.

Serrekunda United came from one nil down to beat the current league champions Gambia Ports Authority 2-1 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium to bounce back in the top flight after their 3-2 defeat to Bombada in their previous fixtures.

Elsewhere, the newly-promoted side Marimoo defeated Gamtel 1-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to maintain third spot in the top flight.
