Bombada drops UTG to reach FF cup round 16

The country’s premier league side Bombada has defeated West Coast Regional third division league side University of The Gambia 2-0 in the round 32 tie played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium on Wednesday. The win earned them an advance to the round 16 of the 2017-2018 Gambia Football Federation FF cup.

The Brikama-based club and the country’s highest learning institute are both struggling in their respective leagues. Bombada sailed to the country’s league cup round 16 after netting goals against University of The Gambia despite their woeful run of from in the top flight.

The University of The Gambia responded quickly or an equalizer but to no avail thus the game ended 2-0 in favour of the GFF domestic division one league strugglers Bombada.

The 2017/18 GFF FF cup round 32 matches will continue tomorrow 6 April across different venues in the Greater Banjul Area.
