Bologna signs Musa Juwara

Italian top flight team Bologna FC, Friday signed young Gambian professional midfielder, Musa Juwara from AC Chievo Verona on a three-year deal.

The 17-year-old, who entered Italy as a refugee in 2016, started his career with Virtus Avigliano when he was scouted by Chievo Verona after a successful season.

A native of Tujereng, Juwara made his Seria A debut against Frosinoe Calcio in May. He was briefly loaned to Torino FC for the 2019 Torneo di Viareggio.

He was earlier banned from transferring to Chievo by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), but challenged the hearing and eventually joined Chievo Verona in 2017.

The Gambian attacker, who can also play as a center forward and left wing scored 18 goals.
