Blue Star bash Lamin United to bounce back in GFF triangular qualifiers

Blue Star beat Lamin United 2-0 to bounce back to their winning form in the 2014 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) third division qualifiers game played at the weekend at the FIFA Goal Project Artificial Turf Football Field in Old Yundum.

Blue Star, who lost to Jambanjelly United 2-1 at the weekend at the FIFA Goal Project Artificial Football Field in Old Yundum, knew that conceding defeat against Lamin United would dash their chances of gaining promotion to the second tier.

They came all out for a victory against Lamin United to keep their ambition of gaining promotion to the second tier by dominating the game and launching several goal-scoring attempts against Lamin United.

Zakaria Darboe alias Ozil opened the scores for Blue Star in the 23rd  minute of the game from Ngorr Mboob’s fantastic cross to give his side the lead, before Kemo Kanteh sealed the victory in the 73rd minute of the game from Zakaria Darboe’s  brilliant free kick to bag the maximum points at the expense of  their opponents Lamin United.

Blue Star are now 3rd position on the GFF third division triangular qualifiers table with 3 points in two games.

They need to win their remaining two games against Latrikunda and Lions of Banjul to keep their hopes of gaining promotion to the second tier.
