Black Thunder Releases new Video ‘Nation Gyal’ set for Gambia tour in April

Black Thunder, a Switzerland based Gambian reggae and dance hall artiste has released a new video called ‘NationGyal’ on 5 January, 2019.

He is expected to embark on a Gambia tour 2019 with US based Jamaican reggae Ambassador Ras Emmanuel to hold different concerts.

The concerts will featured DJ Fireman of the Firehouse Crew, DJ Mutaburaka of Black Energy Sound and DJ Mighty P artisres include Philanpist, Da Builders, Jola Boyo and Team Thunder.

 The tour will feature local artistes and different DJs to educate and entertain the younger generation on positivity.

NationGyal song beat was created by Faboulous Muzik and mixed and Mastered at Atomic Dog Records, video directed by Pa Abdou Waggeh of Wax Media in The Gambia.

 Black Thunder, said the video portray the beauty of Africans women to the world audiences.

“It show that Africa has a beauty to showcase the beauty around the globe in a club party way, Gambia to the world 2019 is our time to shine up let’s work hard and stop talking too much, let’s love one and another and stop hating each other ,Music is a game of joy let’s unity and focus,” he said.

“I want to make a breakthrough in 2019 by focusing and concentrating in my career more as it is the one I study in school so am ready to spread positivity and speak for the people through music,” he told journalists. “I am determined to move my music higher because is the only thing I study in school”

 Masta Lion Touray, Helsinki based Gambian Deejay said Gambia’s International Reggae & Dancehall Artist B-Black Thunder has done it again by dropping a brand new tune titled “National Gyal”. Congrats my brother for the great achievements. Keep on dropping more conscious songs for the people.

About Thunder

Born on 5 December 1987, in Njaba Kunda, The Gambia, Saikou Kanteh, popularly known as Black Thunder, is a songwriter, reggae and dancehall artist based in Bern, Switzerland. His passion for music began when he was seven years old.

 At that age, he had already started for a band with his friends. He later decided to consider music as a career of choice. Shortly afterwards, he met a popular local producer called Papis who brought him to studio. This saw him recording his maiden single called ‘Liberate From Action’ at TJ records in 2002.

In 2004, he relocated to Milan, Italy to pursue music studies for two years. After completing his studies, he went into the studio to record more music and later founded a band. His musical journey began taking shape and saw him touring Europe with his band.

In 2009, he left Italy for Bern, Switzerland where he launched a solo career and signed contract with Likkle Lion Record in Geneva. While in Bern, he attended music school for 20 months, doing both theory and practical and was regarded as one of Switzerland’s best 12 artistes of distinction. In 2014, he signed another contract with Atomic Dog Record in Bern.

In 2015, he toured The Gambia where he had eight concerts. All the proceeds were donated to schools, hospitals and youths development projects.

 In 2016, he made his debut performance at Flag Flowing Senegambia high, a musical platform meant to showcase Senegambia artists in Europe where he was awarded as the best stage performer.  In 2018, started working with Move Mentality band as his performing band across the world.
