one-day pre-budget dialogue meeting ended on Friday at the International
Republican Institute Office in Fajara.
The pre-budget dialogue meeting organised by Beakanyang Kafo and Gambia Participate, was funded by the International Republican Institution, and brought together National Assembly members and Civil Societies.
Speaking at the pre-budget dialogue meeting, Famara Jawneh, president of Beakanyang Kafo, said the pre-budget meeting was organised to give the National Assembly Members an insight to the 2018 budget and analyse it.
Jawneh revealed that the priority of The Gambian would be the 2018 budget.
Madi Nyang, a member of Gambia Participate, said Gambia participate is a civil organization in the country to promote the right of the Gambians.
Buba Bojang, a staff of International Republican Institute, said government should revive the economy and reduce tax.
Bojang urged that government should encourage sign language for hard of hearing at televisions stations in The Gambia and also reform tax.
For her part, Robiina Namusisi, country Director of International Republican Institute, applauded the National Assembly Members and civil societies for attending the pre-budget dialogue meeting.
