June 14, The Gambia will join the rest of Africa to celebrate and compete in
the inaugural African Beach Games to be hosted by Cape Verde.
One sport that will be on the spotlight in the Cape Verdean city of Sal will be beach volleyball and Gambia national beach volleyball men and women teams will be among the 24 teams across Africa that will battle for the World Beach Games ticket in San Diego, California in USA.
Gambia beach volleyball team under the tutelage of coach Pa Babucarr Barrow has started preparations for the games that will be held from June 14th through June 23th 2019.
They will hope to be among the top two teams that will represent Africa at the World Beach Games later this year.
Team Gambia is expected to leave the country on June 13th. The trip is fully supported by The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC).
