Batokunku to brawl with Farato in Kombo South district tourney final

Batokunku are set to rub shoulders with Farato in the 2017 Berewuleng Football Club-sponsored Kombo South district football tournament final after beating Jambur on penalties

This followed a stalemate draw in the regulation time in the semifinal played at the Farato Football Field on Sunday.

Batokunku eliminated Nyofelleh in the quarterfinal and Jambur eliminated defending champions Kartong in the other quarterfinal fixtures prior to their Sunday’s semifinal encounter with Batokunku.

Batokunku and Jambur both came into the game to beat each other to progress to the final but the regulation time failed to produce a winner.

This pushed the game into a post-match penalty shootout, which ended in favour of Batokunku.

Batokunku will now face Farato in the 2017 Berewuleng Football Club-sponsored Kombo South district football tournament final

The date for the final will be announced by Kombo South District Sports Committee later.
