Basse High Court resumes sitting

Basse High Court presided over by Justice Simeon A. Abi on Monday 11th December 2017, resumed sittings with several cases mentioned for hearing.

The criminal trial involving Ebrima Jallow was set for judgment on Friday 15 December after the State and the defence adopted their brief of arguments.

Ebrima Jallow is standing trial on a single charge of murder contrary to the Criminal Code.

The prosecution alleged that the accused on 27 April 2010, at Kuntaur Wassu village in the Central River Region with intention to kill, caused serious head injury to one Alhagie Bah, thus leading to his death.

The prosecution called two witnesses and tendered two exhibits in proving its case whilst the accused testified as a lone witness in his defence.
