Adama Barrow Tuesday said that, only the right person can lead The Gambia into
a more advanced develop country, couple with the creation of right
institutions, physical structures and environment that can place the country on
the right footing at global level.
Mr. Barrow appeared at the new National Audit Office complex along Bertil Harding Highway in Kanifing where he led the inauguration of the office, telling officials that as the pillar of his government agenda, good governance need to be appreciated from a perspective that encompasses all the critical factors that contribute to performance.
“Production and productivity will recognise the work environment as one of these factors. The National Development Plan emphasis my government commitment to provide suitable policies.”
He said policies need to be formulated and implemented in an atmosphere that is friendly enough to increase or enhance star motivation and output. “I strongly believe that the attitude and commitment of individuals in public institutions contribute to determine our taxpayers’ benefit from the services delivered by public servants.”
