Barrow attends 31st Ordinary Session of the AU

His Excellency, Mr. Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia has travelled to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to attend the 31st Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State of the African Union.

The theme of the Summit is, “Winning the fight against Corruption: A sustainable path to Africa’s Transformation.”

The President and delegation departed Banjul International Airport on Saturday, 30th June 2018 at 12 noon. Those invited to see him off were requested to be at the airport half an hour before departure for the usual ceremonies.

President Adama Barrow congratulates Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Re-election

Meanwhile, President Adama Barrow has congratulated his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on his re-election as President of Turkey on June 24th 2018.

In a telephone conversation, President Barrow extended this message on behalf of the Gambian people, wishing President-elect Erdogan well in executing his new mandate and also prayed for his good health.
