Banjul Utd to battle with GPA in GFF 1st Division

Banjul United will welcome Gambia Ports Authority in the all-Banjul derby fixtures of the 2015-2016 First-Eco Partners-sponsored Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league tomorrow, 23 January 2015, at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

Banjul United are mid-table in the league with 6 points in six league games and are bent on beating Gambia Ports Authority to boost their league hopes.

Gambia Ports Authority are currently topping the league with 12 points in six league matches. They hope to hammer Banjul United to extend their lead in the league.

Bombada will host reigning league champions Gamtel at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Bombada, who are rooted second place from bottom in the league with 4 points in six league matches, will be fighting to recover against Gamtel and move away from the relegation zone after losing to Gambia Ports Authority 1-0 at the weekend.

Gambia Armed Forces are also among the teams competing for the league title with 9 points in six league matches. They are stalking to beat Brikama United and bounce back in contention for the league title after losing to Wallidan 1-0 at the weekend.
