Banjul Utd ends Marimoo unbeaten run in GFF 1st Domestic league

Banjul United has end Marimoo’s unbeaten run in the 2018-2019 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) domestic division one league after beating the Manjai-based club 1-0 in the week-six match played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Saturday.

Marimoo were unbeaten in their five opening league matches with 9 points before rubbing shoulders with Banjul United, who drew four matches and lose one.

The Banjul-based team carried the significant three points after scoring one goal in the match to end Marimoo’s five-match unbeaten record in the country’s top flight league.

They now secured 7 points in six league matches and Marimoo with 9 points after six league matches.

Brikama United maintained their unbeaten run in the league after their goalless draw with Hawks at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

Reigning league champions also drew goalless with newly-promoted side BK Milan at the Box Bar Mini Stadium on the same day.

Brikama United are still second in the top flight league with 10 points after six league matches and BK Milan with 6 points in six league matches.

Defending league champions Gamtel are still languishing bottom-place in the top flight league standings with only 4 points in six league matches.
