United are ambitious to improve their position in the 2017-2018 Gambia Football
Federation domestic Division One league after their recent slump in the
country’s top flight league campaign.
The Banjul-based football club will rub shoulders with Gamtel in the week-eight fixture today Wednesday, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 4pm.
The team has snatched 7 points so far this season after gaining promotion to the top tier last season and will strive to beat Gamtel to bounce back after losing three games in a row and improve their position in the league standings.
Gamtel is second spot in the top flight with 12 points after seven league matches and will contend to wallop Banjul United to surpass Fortune FC.
Defending champions Gambia Armed Forces will play against Real De Banjul at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 6pm. the Soldiers has secured 8 points so far this season and will be eyeing to trounce Real De Banjul to boost their chances of retaining their league crown.
Real De Banjul has 11 points in seven league matches and will brawl to overcome Gambia Armed Forces and hope teams above them to slip in order to top the league.
The newly promoted side Fortune FC will host Tallinding United in the other week-eight fixtures at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium at 4pm. Fortune FC is currently topping the top flight league with 12 points in seven league matches and will target to triumph over Tallinding United to fancy their hopes of clinching their first-ever domestic division league title in their debut season in the country’s top flight league.
Tallinding United has 8 points after seven league matches and will clash to defeat Fortune FC to increase their chances of staying in the top tier and avoid demotion to the second tier.
