Balla Gaye II to arrive in Banjul on Friday

New Senegalese wrestling king Balla Gaye II is expected in Banjul on Friday to grace the album launch of Jaliba Kuyateh, kora maestro, set for this Saturday at the Senegambia Beach Hotel.

The star and his entourage are scheduled to arrive in The Gambia on Friday at 2pm.

Balla will be welcomed by his fans and host alike before leading him to his hotel at Senegambia, according to organizers of the show.

The organising committee will be holding a press conference at the Senegambia Beach Hotel on Saturday at 11.00 am for all media and press houses.

King wrestler Balla Gaye, 26, recently defeated opponent Yahya Diop (Yekini) at a grand combat in Dakar.

Balla Gaye has taken part in 19 competitions, gaining 17 victories and losing two bouts.

Son of “Double Less”, a former champion in the 1970s and 1980s, Balla embarked on wrestling under the spell of “Tyson” he considered his idol when he was younger.
