Back-way route land man in court

The trial of one Sheriffo Danso who was charged with obtaining money by false pretence resumed at the Bundung Magistrates' Court.

Testifying, the complainant Sulayman Jammeh told the court that he was told by the accused that he had a vessel that travelled to the Scandinavian countries and if he pay D35,000 he would secure employment for him in the ship. He testified that they later agreed at D25,000 which he paid and was transported to Senegal were he was dump by the accused for two months without setting his eye on the accused. He said he was later advised by his mother to return home.

The case was at length adjourned to 1stDecember 2008.
