Kanifing Magistrates' Court, chaired by Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke, on Monday 19th January 2008 convicted and sentenced Dembo Jatta to 3 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to armed robbery.
In his judgement, the presiding Magistrate Mbakeh, informed the court that the prosecution had proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the accused committed the offence.
In his plea of mitigation, the accused asked the court to temper justice with mercy as he is the breadwinner of their family.
Subsequently Magistrate Mbackeh sentenced him accordingly.
