The incident was reported to have happened when supporters of the two parties met as result kept coming with each part celebrating some element of victory from Tallinding North and South respectively.
The candidate of the APRC won the Tallinding North seat while the UDP’s candidate won the Tallinding South Ward.
The Police Intervention Unit (PIU) personnel were seen using teargas in attempt to disperse the angry militants as they started throwing stones at each other.
It is not the first time supporters of the two parties have clashed since the change of government in 2016. It could be recalled that militants of the two parties clashed in Busumbala village in the West Coast Region (WCR) which resulted to the injury of handful of people and there was massive damage to properties and vehicle had their windscreens smashed into pieces.
