Annual Talent Show for Gilkock Football Academy

As part of their contribution towards the development of grassroots football in the country, GilkockFootballAcademy on Monday 11th May 2009 held its annual talent show at the GambiaSeniorSecondary School playing grounds in Banjul.

The talent show brought together hundreds of young players from GilkockAcademy across Greater Banjul to showcase skills and talent and to evaluate the state of their players on what they have been learning over the year.

Speaking to Pointsports, the Secretary General of GilkockFootballAcademy, Burama Dibba, expressed their Academy's readiness in promoting and developing football in the country particularly at the grassroots level.

He further stated that the Academy have produced a lot of players in the past years and large numbers of them now playing at the country's top flight league and representing the country at international stage.

He further stated that plans are underway to expand the size of the Academy in the length and breadth of the country. Mr Dibba hailed the players and their coaches for their commitment and co-operation.
