Alleged theft case continues

The criminal theft case involving Alhagie Kandeh, recently continued at the Bundung Magistrates' Court, with the testimony of the third prosecution witness, one Lamin Marr, a police officer.

Testifying before the court, the third prosecution witness, Lamin Marr told the court that he is a police officer, attached to Manjai Kunda Police Station and that he could recognise the accused.

According to him, on 19th December 2009, he was in charge office at the Manjai Kunda Police Station, when the prosecution first witness reported that her house was being broken into.

He testified that the scene was visited and it was discovered that the alleged culprit entered the house through the back door by breaking it.

Officer Marr further adduced that they also found out that  a safe in the house was taken away.

The case that was presided over Magistrate Lamin George was adjourned to 22nd February 2010.
