One Lasana Konteh was recently arraigned before
Principal Magistrate Hilary Abeke of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged
with obtaining money by false pretence.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused, Lasana Konteh, some time in 2013/14 at Old Yundum village in Kombo North district of the West Coast Region, obtained the sum of three hundred and sixty thousand dalasi from one Kebba Barrow with the pretext that he had a plot of land at Old Yundum, which he knew to be false.
He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D500,000 with a Gambian surety.
