Alleged Abduction Case Continues

Mrs. Yassin Njie Nyang, Arab Gambia Islamic Bank branch manager at Westfield, on  2nd March 2009, testified at the Bundung Magistrates' Court, presided over by Magistrate B.O. Jobe, as a fifth prosecution witness in the alleged adduction case, involving two Nigerian nationals, namely Ukanwa, Ikechukwa Alias Prince Benjamin George and Fatou Sarr a Gambian.

PW5 told the court that on the 7th November 2008, while she was in her office at Westfield around , a gentleman came to her office with a note written by one Abdul Wadane who is working with African Muslims Agency. She stated that the 1st accused also had a cheque for D100, 000 which he attempted to cash. Stated that the accused was also holding a passport and she further told the court that she did not pay the cheque. Testifying PW5 said, "I attempt twice without success and I decided to mark the cheque and return it to the bearer. The note and the cheque were marked as exhibits. PW5 also added that she made a statement to security personnel.

The case at that juncture was adjourned to 11th March 2009 for continuation.
