The Head Coach of the defending champions of the 2008/09 season, Gambia Armed Forces Football club, Alagie Sey has said that at this moment of the season he doesn't think his team can win the Gambia Football Association League.

He said as the defending champions they will fight for the first three teams in the league, and then prepare for the FA Cup

Head Coach Sey, who was speaking after his side's 1-0 victory over Bakau giants Steve Biko, at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium on Sunday 9th May 2010 in their Week Seventeen fixtures lauded Steve Biko for being a big side despite their defeat.

He said Armed Forces had problem of scoring during the first round of the league, but it has now become a thing of the past.

He further revealed that they will be well prepared for their Week Eighteen encounter against Samger FC.

Also, speaking Abdoulie Bojang, the Head Coach of Steve Biko said that they were expecting to win the game against Armed Forces. He said though they were unfortunate they have accepted it in good faith.

Head Coach Bojang also said that his team has a very slim chance to win the league, considering other teams like Wallidan FC, who were very consistent in the second round of the league. According to him, the number of points between them and the leaders had made it extremely difficult for them.

He further urged the fans of Steve Biko to be patient and continue supporting the team. He said they always ensure that they make their fans happy, but it's rather unfortunate that they haven't won their last two games.

Meanwhile, Brikama United beat Real de Banjul 4-1 in Week Seventeen fixtures on Sunday at the Brikama Mini-stadium

Bakau giant Steve Biko lost to the champions Armed Forces 1-0 at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium.
