Alagie Bajinka demands Paralympic Committee must go to Congress

Wednesday, June 06, 2018

Gambian international Paralympic athlete Alagie Bajinka has complained that the Gambia Paralympics board is not doing the chain work as required of them, demanding that they must go to congress as soon as possible.

An international representative, track field runner and a wheelchair marathon runner, Mr Bajinka said the committee has held a congress only once since its establishment and since then, board members have not been doing their work effectively. He alleged that there is no transparency among board members.

He said the President had promised to resign from his post which most of the members were longing to see because it would be better for him to resign if he could not fulfill his responsibilities. “I am urging the ministry of youth and sport and National Sports Council to take action in the Gambia Paralympics issue.”
