The Paramount Chief of The Gambia, Alh Demba Sanyang, has called on Gambians to emulate Master Jabbi of Sukuta for his benevolent gesture in donating a motorbike to the Sannenmentereng Constituency APRC Executive committee, as part of the 2016 presidential campaign.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Kombo North’s Chief Sanyang said The Gambia needs more people like Master Jabbi, who contribute their quota to national development, which is in line with the APRC’s development agenda.

Paramount Chief Sanyang, who was full of joy and appreciation, highlighted some of the development projects Master Jabbi has undertaken in Madinary and other areas.

This is the type of people the APRC party needs, he said, appealing to the community of Sukuta Medina to work closely with “Master Jabbi, who is a development-oriented person”.

The Paramount Chief also advised the community of Sukuta-Medina to throw their weight behind President Jammeh as Gambians owe him a lot.

He mentioned some of the development projects President Jammeh had brought to the doorsteps of Gambians since 1994.

He also commended the people of West Coast Region for their firm support of the APRC party and called on them to vote massively for the Gambian leader in the 2016 presidential election.

He also urged the community to maintain their spirit of unity and love for each other, knowing that “President Jammeh is here for the welfare of the Gambian people”.

The Paramount Chief also urged Master Jabbi to continue the momentum, adding that one day he would be paid for his good intention and work.

In his remarks, Muhammed F. Jabbi expressed appreciation at the turnout of the APRC militants to attend the presentation of the motorbike to the Sannenmentereng APRC committee.

“This shows the love that the people of Kombo North have for President Jammeh and the APRC party,” he said.

Master Jabbi said that since 2006, Sukuta-Medina has been launching APRC presidential campaigns, adding that the donation was also geared towards complementing President Jammeh’s personal contribution to the social, economic and infrastructural development of The Gambia and that community in particular.

He commended the community of Sukuta-Medina, especially the women, for being with him in supporting the APRC party.

He also said the donation of the motorbike is an invaluable contribution, adding that the Sannementereng APRC Committee’s slogan is “Operation brings Victory.”

Master Jabbi also dilated on the need for unity among the Sannementereng Committee, saying he would endeavour to organise fund-raising activities to raise money to fence their borehole, which is one of the most important assets the community could proud of.

For her part, the vice chairman of Sannemerentereng APRC Committee, Halima Jallow, said the donation came as result of the last presidential tour, when they had a meeting in which Master Jabbi announced that after 3 to 4 months he was going to give out a motorbike to sannementereng constituency committee as a campaign tool.

They are proud of the West Coast Region Governor, who is a lady with a difference, she said.

She also commended the WCR regional chairman for making “rapid positive changes” in the region within a short period of time.

She said the 2016 presidential election will be a success for APRC as they are always at the forefront in supporting and voting for the President, and would continue the momentum.
