Lamin Ceesay, who was charged with threatening violence, was on 9 November 2015 sent to prison by Magistrate Isatou Janneh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, following the revocation of his bail.

This followed the application made by prosecutor CPL 798 Ebou Jatta to revoke the bail of the accused person, who failed to appear in court on two occasions.

CPL 798 Jatta had already paraded his witness, Robert Johannes Engelen, who testified against the accused.

When he came with his second witness on 9 November 2015, the accused was nowhere to be found.

This prompted him to apply to the court to revoke the bail of the accused, and his application was granted.

Prosecutors alleged that the accused, Lamin Ceesay, on 3 November 2015 at Serrekunda in the Kanifing Municipality, with intent to intimidate, insult or annoy one Robert Johannes Engelen and Robert Johannes Engelen Jr, threatened to stab them with a knife and a beer bottle.

The case was adjourned till 19 November 2015.
