Accused Arraigned for Alleged Criminal Trespass

africa » gambia
Friday, May 22, 2009

One Saikou Bojang was on the 15th May, 2009, brought before senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court for alleged criminal trespass, a charge he denied.

The charge sheet indicated that on or about the 9th May, 2009 at Bakau with intent, he intimidated one Ebrima Krubally in his shop. On the same charge sheet, the accused faced another charge of common assault on the same day and place and the same complainant was the victim.

The case was adjourned to the 2nd June, 2009 for hearing and the accused was granted bail on the deposition of D700 or the provision of a Gambian surety with a property of that value which should be deposited to the Assistant Registrar.

Cadet Inspector Mballow represented IGP.
