Bank Gambia Ltd. last Tuesday presented prizes to seventeen winners of its 'Yorka Sa am am’ raffle draw held at their head office along Kairaba Avenue. The 'Yorka Sa am am’ raffle draw was introduced some eight months ago to encourage
the culture of banking in the country. The prizes include D10, 000 and D5, 000
cash amount and mobile phones.
The bank’s managing director, David Aluko, thanked customers for patronizing them for the past years, saying they have been supporting them to ensure that the bank survives and does well in The Gambia.
He said the purpose of the raffle is to bring to the understanding of masses what banking excellence means, adding that the bank is expanding every day and wherever they go they take banking excellence with them.
“Last year we decided to make ourselves more available to the masses by introducing this raffle which we think has encouraged many people to open accounts with us to also enjoy that banking services.”
Abisatou Manneh, head of Cooperate said second phase of the raffle has started but they intend to launch it in the next couple of weeks. “Let people know about it. We will be getting quite a lot of prizes for our customers.”
She encouraged customers to keep banking with them because they give people service that they deserve, saying there are lot of products and services that are coming up.
Ndey Amie Jallow, campaign head thanked the bank management and staff for the support. “We started this campaign sometime in August to encourage customers or Gambians at large to focus on saving.”
