Abubakarr Sidique Foundation donates to orphans

Abubakarr Sidique Foundation for Dawal and Orphans Welfare recently donated second-hand clothes and rice to orphans in Gunjur, done to promote Islam and support the welfare of orphans in Gunjur and its environs.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the Gunjur Arabic School, the chairman of the foundation, Alhagie Sandang, said his welfare was pleased to donate to the poor and needy, especially the orphans.

He said they would continue to render support to orphans in Gunjur and the whole of The Gambia.

He urged the mothers of the orphans to work hard and be united to realise their objectives, and advised them to make best use of the donated items.

He appealed to the beneficiaries to always pray for their donors so they would continue to give more assistance to them.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mama Kaddy Jammeh Mbadi, thanked the Foundation for supporting orphans in Gunjur, and encouraged them to continue to support orphans and needy people in Gunjur.

For his part, a member of the foundation, Buba Jatta, said he was also delighted to be a member of the foundation, whose main aim is to support orphans and those newly converted into Islam.

“We are committed to supporting and improving the living standards of orphans in Gunjur,” he says.

Buba Janneh of the foundation chaired the ceremony.
